A complete new start

A complete new start
It’s been a long long time since I wrote anything following my stroke. I feel that i can at last make a start and try to catch up with what's been going on at Gnome Valley. I have spent the past two years in ill health and have as such been unable to get out and work on the railway.
As part of my therapy program it was suggested to me that I may try and write a book about my railway. This I have now completed and published through Amazon Books. My book is of course called, Gnome Valley The Story Begins, and has a ISBN number of 9781491040805, priced £4.95.  It is also available on Kindle at £1.28 (odd price, I Know, but it has something to do with V.A.T.

I have undertaken to have a go at setting out Barrowbridge Station, and have started by putting in the platform. As you can see, I have left a recess in it so as to allow the station building to be lower into it and allow the wiring to come up from underneath.  The station building is so designed so as to accommodate the necessary switch panel. The wiring will be protected  through the winter by being unplugged from the panel and the building being stored inside while the pug will be protected by being in a large jar.
